photoblog image Fly

Guyz as promised this week is my first series. I will post only macro shots this week, all the pictures were actually captured last week either on my way to or from work. There is a 5 minute walk from where i live to the bus stop where i take the 5 bus to work. you will be suprised how many subjects present themsselves for interesting macro photography. All I needed to do was pay attention.

Ladies and gentlemen, come with me on my daily walk to and from the bustop where i take my bus to work !

Was this taken with the Canon 100mm macro? Finally some competition for Denosha and Veloran! BTW, you have a dust bunny on your sensor. It's a real bummer for macro work.
Mobolaji Kamson: What exactly is a dust bunny ?. Yes I did use the 100mm macro. Hope to get a tripod pretty soon. It helps.

WOW! Someone bought a macro lens. Well done on this one. These are really hard to capture. Kudos. Did you use extra lighting other than your speedlite and how did us deploy your speed lite?
Mobolaji Kamson: Jide thank you. I did not use flash. Infact since i bought the 580ex i have not taken it out of the box. I will endeavour to use it in future though.
I shot this in the morning and available light was quite sufficient.

Nice shot! I think you could have boosted your colour saturation a bit in post processing though.
Mobolaji Kamson: I was too tired. but thanks for the comment. smile

Amazing shot. Very good use of DOF.

I think I would have liked the whole fly to be in focus - its back seems to blend in with the background. Nice start to your macro experiments!
