photoblog image Lady B

Guyz as promised this week is my first series. I will post only macro shots this week, all the pictures were actually captured last week either on my way to or from work. There is a 5 minute walk from where i live to the bus stop where i take the 5 bus to work. you will be suprised how many subjects present themsselves for interesting macro photography. All I needed to do was pay attention.

Ladies and gentlemen, come with me on my daily walk to and from the bustop where i take my bus to work !

Hmm, your focus is just a bit too far in front, and colours are a bit weak once again, otherwise this would be a really great shot.

My semitrained eyes think this is somewhat out of focus or maybe its the blur...

pele dude, macros are hard I know, get to know ur lens and have a steady and be patient and u will have crisp sharp shots. i am still have out of focus issues with my lens as i am still learning how to use it.
this would have been a great shot, if not for the out of focus lady B

The focus issue has been raised so I'll not harp on it. I'm not too big a fan of the colours either, maybe if you had the ladybird on a leaf it would have been nicer....

....on another note, are all ladybirds female?

Agree with Voleran, the colours are somewhat weak and there seems to be a bit of a blur but otherwise this is a really nice pic. And having her on a really green leaf would have given the pic a lift.

Not all ladybugs are female. They are a type of beetle which hibernate in cold weather. They are cold blooded, have a top flying speed of about fifteen miles per hour. There are over 350 different species.

hi there, sorry i haven't commented on your pictures, everything sounds so technical, this must be photographers' heaven.
Lord help, I lack the jargon of photography.

I like it!

Good eye Bolaji, all has been said about the focus, but I still like it

Good composition, but needs a bit more DOF. f/2.8 is way to shallow for this kind of shot. You should be looking around f/8 minimum for macros on a DSLR.
